
Full course description
As you complete this course, you will:
- identify four components when considering dual language immersion as your bilingual program: engaging families and other stakeholders as partners, identifying a program model, challenges, and sustaining a successful program
- lead and advocate for a program that provides linguistic equity and implements high academic achievement, biliteracy, multicultural awareness, and sociocultural competence for Emergent Bilinguals (EB)
- implement a program that enhances teacher practice and best supports the academic and emotional learning success for emergent bilinguals and their families by becoming familiar with the Guiding Principles of Dual Language Education
