As you complete this course, you will:
- Explain the importance of reading and naming trauma in the English classroom.
- Analyze the archetypal Hero’s Journey-- specifically the early parts of the “Refusal of the Call” and “Meeting of the Mentor” through a trauma theory lens.
- Brainstorm reflective writing, speaking, and other English classroom skills to help students unpack their own ability to self advocate and recognize helpers.
