• understand how these components influence the Gulf of Mexico region: hurricanes, weather, fishing industry, and oil spill tracking.
• understand how the Loop Current and Loop Current Eddies are located and tracked in the Gulf of Mexico (Satellite Altimetry, Current Meters) and learn how to find this current information for yourself and your students.
